Who we are. Bridegroom Services ("we") is the data controller for this website. You can reach us through our contact page.

What we collect. Only what you give us through our booking, contact, review and rescue forms and the Bride & Groom chat: your names, contact details, event details (date, guests, area, budget) and anything you write in a message. Giving us your details is optional, but we need a name and an email address or phone number to reply.

Traditions and culture. If you choose to tell us about your traditions, religion or culture, that can reveal religious beliefs or ethnic origin, which the law treats as special category data. Telling us is always optional. We use it only to plan your day, on the basis of your explicit consent (UK GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)), which you give by choosing to share it. You can withdraw that consent at any time through our contact page, and we then delete it.

Why we use it. To respond to your request and coordinate the services you asked about. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing it (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); our legitimate interest in running the business (Art. 6(1)(f)); and, for payment records, our legal obligation to keep accounts (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Who processes it for us. Netlify, Inc. hosts this site and stores form submissions on our behalf. Stripe processes payments: it receives your card details directly and shares with us only your name, email, the amount and your booking reference. Both may process data outside the UK, including in the United States, under the safeguards they provide for UK data (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge). We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. We share details with a venue or supplier only when needed to prepare your plan, and we tell you when we do. Our fonts are hosted on this site, so no font service receives your visit.

The chat. The Bride & Groom chat is an automated assistant: it gives general information and benchmarks and never makes decisions about you. A human coordinator handles every request. What you type in the chat stays in your own browser until you choose to send a booking (see our cookies policy).

Reviews. If you send one, we keep it with your booking. We publish it only if you ticked a "Yes" option, exactly as you wrote it, with your first names or anonymously as you chose — and you can ask us to take it down at any time.

How long we keep it. Enquiries that do not become a booking: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted. Bookings and payment records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, because tax law requires it. Reviews: until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights. You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Send a data request through our contact page and we act within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
